GRIFFIN ARMAMENT DUAL-LOK MINIMALIST BRAKE

The Griffin Armament DUAL-LOK Minimalist Brake is a lightweight, low-profile muzzle device designed to reduce recoil and muzzle climb while providing a secure, repeatable attachment point for compatible Griffin Armament suppressors. It features a patented DUAL-LOK system with 60 machined splines and two locking positions for 120 effective locking positions, ensuring a rock-solid suppressor mount with minimal point-of-impact shift. The brake is made from durable 17-4 PH stainless steel, includes a wear-resistant sacrificial baffle for suppressor protection, and features an ultra-light design under 1.5 inches long.

The muzzle device integrates 60 machined mounting position grooves, which is doubled by the mount’s two locking positions, hence the double entendre DUAL-LOK®. How is this achieved? The mounts’ two locking positions are machined out of phase of one another by 3 degrees which provides the 120 effective locking positions and ensures a tightly mounted and locked suppressor.  When the suppressor is installed, only one of the two positions will generally function by allowing the spring to push the locking collar rearward over the splines.

Constructed of 17-4 PH stainless steel, the DUAL-LOK® Minimalist Brake has a wear resistant baffle that increases suppressor service life. Additionally the brake features compensating ports that help reduce muzzle climb while assisting in reducing felt recoil. The Minimalist Brake weighs 2.6 ounces and is less than an 1.5″ long, adding minimal weight and length compared to that of most competing suppressor mounts. The lighter weight reduces suppressor system weight while making the host firearm barrel lighter and more responsive to the shooter. Each brake comes with a shim set for timing.

The 6.5mm option allows for optimal braking performance and sound performance with a suppressor on 6.5 grendel, 6.5 creedmoor, 260 remington, 6.5×47 Lapua etc.
